Billal Taright is a London-based photographer renowned for his striking fashion, still-life and portraiture. Genre-crossing, with an honest eye, he creates visual memories. Interiors in particular have become a personal and professional endeavour.
Billal was raised in Paris and studied at EnsAD - Paris | École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs and Modern Letters at la Sorbonne.
He moved to London in 2011, where he worked on the creative team at Mario Testino’s agency Higher and Higher, before striking out on his own assignments.
He has since produced editorial images for many international publications: US Vogue, W magazine, Harper’s Bazaar (UK), Porter Magazine, Tatler (UK), l'Umo Vogue, Cabana, AD (US) and created numerous personal projects. A sought-after contemporary photographer, Taright has successfully straddled the interface of art and commercial photography. He has worked with myriad of clients, including leading fashion brands and independent labels - Hermes, DVF, Tory Burch, Nina Ricci, Oscar de la Renta, Charlotte Olympia, Saloni, Hunting Season, Giuliva Heritage, Thierry Colson and Racil, and fine jewellery clients - Fernando Jorge, Venyx and Noor Fares as well as Luke Edward Hall collaborations with Richard Ginori and Alex Eagle.
A nuanced creative, Taright has now turned his attention to a spectrum of image making, consultancy and creative direction.
